One of my favorite things to do with the kids is to take them fishing in the neighborhood pond.
I think we are the only ones in our community that go fishing so there are plenty of fish to be hooked.
Last Saturday was one of the best fishing days we have ever had. Just about every cast we either had a strike or we landed a largemouth bass.
When you have fishing days like this, it's easy to get excited about fishing the next time.
So, this Saturday I took them out again but the fishing was not as good.
We still had fun, and everyone caught fish but not to the extent that we caught them the week before.
Maybe it was because we got a little later start today than we did last week and missed the window when the fish were hungrier.
Maybe it was because the new & improved plastic worms I got on Amazon this week were not as enticing as the old worms we used last week.
Maybe the barometric pressure was different this week compared to last week.
Or maybe I just need to face the fact that some days are better than others and that's why they call it fishing, not catching.
I don't know why fishing is better on some days than other days, but one thing I do know for sure…
The more fishing you do, the greater chances you have of catching fish.
The same goes with your health.
The more healthy habits you employ in your daily routine, the greater chances you have of experiencing good health.
Here are my top 5 healthy habits to keep you on the track to experiencing optimal health:
- Daily adequate water intake from a healthy water source.
- Daily consumption (minimum 2-3 servings) of healthy leafy greens.
- Daily physical activity with an aim to strive for 30 minutes a day as a general goal.
- Daily planning (even if it's just a few minutes) to accomplish life's most important activities.
- Daily time to invest in your most important relationships.
Incorporate these activities on a daily basis and you will be amazed at how many fish you start catching.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
